Rachael Laing - Principal Consultant
Rachael joined Marker Consulting in May 2008 as a Principal Consultant working within the Commercial Division. Rachael brings with her 3 years experience as an Accountancy and Finance permanent recruiter, working within a high profile multinational recruitment agency.

With a strong belief in developing long-term client relationships and providing high service levels to both candidates and clients, Rachael has enjoyed much success within this industry. Rachael managed a large client portfolio in the Gold Coast market where she was instrumental in securing exclusive business. Rachael acted as an extension of her clients’ business and provided guidance during critical growth phases and consulting on career development and key business issues.

Rachael holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management and International Business (Hons).

Nicole Taylor - Para Consultant
Nicole commenced with Marker Consulting in October 2008, after kicking-off her recruitment career two years ago while living in Canberra, in a Recruitment Consultant / Office Manager role.

Now back in the sunshine of Brisbane, she is furthering her career as a Para Consultant within Marker Consulting's Commercial team. Nicole has excellent experience in client service, which gives her a fantastic background to build on her recruitment career.

Nicole's ambition to succeed is underpinned by an understanding that the level of client service that a recruitment agency supplies is their primary point of different in the marketplace.

Mark O'Connor - Team Leader QLD / VIC, Employment Services
Mark commenced with Marker Consulting in October 2007, and brings with him a thorough knowledge of Job Network operations, together with experience as an internal recruiter. Within the Employment Services Sector he has held roles as a Job Search Trainer, Long Term Unemployed Case Manager and Team Leader. During his 4.5 yrs in the field he also gained an understanding of various related programs such as Disability Employment, Personal Support and Jobs Pathways Employment & Training.

With proven success within Employment Services, Mark takes a consultative approach when speaking with industry professionals and entry level candidates alike. He strives to exceed expectations when assisting a candidate, be it a career change or a 'foot in the door' opportunity he takes great satisfaction from seeing the process through from start to finish.

From a client perspective, Mark is able to demonstrate a real understanding of roles and associated duties. Along with establishing the appropriate culture fit for any organisation, he will also ensure that candidate motivators are in line with a client's ethos and mission.

Keticia Rose - National Recruitment Solutions Specialist, Employment Services
Keticia joined Marker Consulting in January 2008, and brings with her a wealth of experience within the Employment Services and Vocational Education and Training sectors.  She has 7 years experience within Job Network and has worked in 3 successive Employment Services contract periods, holding a variety of roles including Job Search Trainer, Long Term Unemployed Client Manager and Team Leader.  During this time Keticia’s extensive knowledge of contractual obligations and her drive to succeed provided her with recognition as a high achiever who could deliver results.

In addition to her Job Network experience, Keticia has also held roles within a private recruitment company, Registered Training Organisation and New Apprenticeship Centre.  This range of experience provides her with an understanding of what it takes to work within these fields.  Having recently returned from China, where she delivered TESOL training and wrote a number of TESOL programs, she is experienced in dealing with people from diverse backgrounds.

Motivated by providing excellent customer service, delivering on promises and building strong relationships, Keticia understands the importance of tailoring a service to individual business needs and enjoys using a solution focused approach.

Jeremy Alexander - Principal Consultant, Employment Services
Jeremy commenced with Marker Consulting in November 2008 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of Job Network and DEN, together with experience in Management. He has held a variety of roles in the Employment Service arena, such as Team Leader, Job Search Trainer, Case Manager, DEN Case Manager and Job Placement / Reverse Marketer. During his five years in the industry, Jeremy has gained a very thorough understanding of the DEEWR contract and has extensive knowledge of what is required to gain results. Jeremy has exceptional knowledge of additional programs such as PSP, VRS and JPET, not to mention Apprenticeships and Group Training organizations.

Jeremy’s previous roles have seen him situated in both city and rural locations, which has increased his ability to understand client needs. With a consultative approach, Jeremy will be able to source staff that will not only fit the job profile but will maximize site results and match the culture. Jeremy’s knowledge of the industry and ability to assess people’s requirements and needs will see him placing quality candidates into positions that will exceed expectations.

Rebecca Bourke - Principal Consultant, Employment Services
Rebecca comes to Marker Consulting from a traditional temp recruitment background, specialising in education. She brings with her a proven ability and skills to provide her clients and candidates with a consultant who is focused on understanding their needs and delivering accordingly. Perseverance + ability = 'that perfect fit'.

Jessica started her career in hospitality and has moved into business support and enjoys the many aspects of the "backend" of business. She currently holds a Diploma in Event Management and Certificates in Business, Hospitality and Tourism.

Away from the office, Jessica enjoys following the AFL and cooking. She also has a strong interest in travelling overseas to Europe and the US, and learning about different cultures and lifestyles.

Amanda Allwright – Executive Associate
Amanda has an extensive background within the Recruitment Industry, having consulted in both the Sydney and Brisbane markets for the past 7 years.  She joined Marker Consulting in 2002 as their first employee and has played a key role in the development of the brand within the local market.

An in-depth knowledge of the recruitment industry and experience across all sectors, has enabled Amanda to really 'partner' with her candidates and clients.  Prior to entering the recruitment industry, she worked for two major international insurers and has a comprehensive understanding of this sector.

Amanda prides herself on providing a solution orientated, outcome driven and proactive approach which results in ongoing repeat business and a steady stream of referrals.
